Yes, I think I do. I really like creating the kind of image like #8, but I dont have access to any other fields that really allow me to do that. Why do you ask?

8 is my favorite as well. I was curious because I started shooting weddings last year after years of avoiding them like the plague. I never thought I would ever shoot a wedding. .. I am finding that weddings are a lot of fun to shoot. Way more enjoyable than I thought they would be. I did four least year and twelve this year on the books. My first one of the year was last weekend...in fact I am editing some of those right now...

Here's my C & C.

1. It kind of looks dreary with the blue-ish cast. I would have also tried to be more symetrical with regards to how the guys are positioned.
2. This would have been better if the other eye was also visible.
3. Good shot. Not sure about the aspect ratio though.
4. Lighting looks a bit harsh on this one. There's some shine on her cheek and harsh shadows around her nose.
5. Not too crazy about the lighting and color temp on this one. Looks too yellow. I would also maybe dodge the tip of his nose where there's a slight shadow. I like their expressions. Cone out the top of the person's head at the bottom of the frame.
6. Great expression. Back of dad's head is kind of a drag though. But that's just the way it goes sometimes.
7. Good shot. Maybe a little too centered for my taste. I would also like to see more of Mom's face.
8. I like everything except the posing. Do you have one that isn't a dip?

# 1 and # 8 are my favourites; great photographs.

Now the questions.
1. Do you mind sharing the EXIF for # 1 & # 8?
2. Did the groom twirl the umbrella in # 8, or was there someone behind the couple who did it?

Thanks.

:)

1 is 125mm, F4, ISO 400 I believe.

8 is iso 1600, F2.8, 1/60 - pretty sure. :D

Also, Im not sure what you mean with the umbrella. I dont think he was spinning it at all. Why do you think its spinning?

Your shots are really great though I think there is still room for improvements which shouldn’t be a worry for you as I see it, you are on the right track to being a great photographer! The last picture is just amazing. I was really wowed by it, no exaggeration included. Keep up the good work!

Thank you! There is always room for improvement. If there wasnt, no one would be able to afford me. :D

I think he thought the water effect came from him spinning the umbrella with droplets already on it. However, it looks like it was actually raining, based upon the shinny/wet ground... My only question is how you kept your flash dry?

Ah ok. I see.

Anyway, it's the simplest of solutions, a sandwich baggie.

Great shots! #3 is why I hate phone/P&S cameras. They are the bane of my existence.

Indeed. Technically, thats my fault here. I didnt notice she had her phone up. I could have waited 10 seconds and taken the same shot. :D
