Realtime HDR video

Students at a Toronto University have managed to pull real time HDR from a 60D and Magic Lantern. It can only process 480p but with more power and memory, they said it could run 1080p. Its running through a cheap board right now. Nothing different than simple ML but this could make HDR recording easier for people doing live shows.

Red does it with two exposures per frame to extend DR, and the resolution is a little bit higher than 480.

480P is only limited by the board used and it can do 1080P with more power and memory. And RED is expensive. I can see this as an advantage for those on low budget like college our community access television that want to test this out. For under $1K you can do this.

more HDR ? some of us need less!
But Magic lantern is worth checking out
