I ventured back to see the same Tawny Frogmouth I photographed a few days ago. He was in his usual spot. I did go on a hunt for others, but no joy (doesn't mean they weren't there, mind you, but didn't see them no matter how hard I examined countless other trees).
Anyway, this time this chap actually moved, albeit very, very slowly, and peered down at me, allowing me to get its face front on and capture its magical eyes. Its gaze was captivating.
