Nice captures! Were the deer flies and mosquitoes bad? A couple of friends of mine were there on Wednesday morning and were getting bit pretty bad.

They were relentless at the beginning of wildlife drive...around the hide and through the woods area...I just tried to keep the car moving and that helped but man those flies are annoying!!!!

Then from the area where it opens back up it got much better. I was able to hang out by the second and third osprey nest as well as the main bald eagle area with zero issues. At the end of the road though past the bald eagle nest I made the mistake of stopping for a second and the Mosquitos bombarded me.

A lot of the water along the side of the road is dried up and there were a lot less water birds around and maybe that's why the Mosquitos weren't an issue for that area too.
