Experimental shot.

A random thought when I was taking a sunset walk down the river. The sun had gone down before I noticed a dandelion clock.

Held out at arms length with flash at 1/64th power (I think, might have been 1/32). F2.8 and ISO 100 and a shutter of 1/200th.

Not sure if it works but a random idea and why not post it


Ps does the image look pixellated for anyone? Gradients are really smooth on my monitor but on my phone it looks really pixellated. I guess thats just the phone doing it.

Thanks Brian, it'll just be the phone then. The silly browser on it is probably designed to auto scale down quality on images.

The reason it will look rubbish on your phone is probably the low bit depth of the display causing banding.
http://en.wikipedia.or​g/wiki/Colour_banding is possibly better at explaining it than me!
