This slowly decaying relic of a bygone age is kept in the stables of an old mansion house near my home. What do you suppose it was used for?

This is a 3D or stereo photo. Sit between 2-3 feet from your monitor. The left eye looks at the right image and the right eye looks at the left image. Do not strain or go bug eyed. Relax. A central image will appear giving stereo depth! :) Comments invited.

If you enjoy stereos why not look at my other stereo threads and let me know what you think? :D

That sounds entirely plausible, Kraig, but it is not a log hauler! Thanks for your comment!:)

Well, I have learned something new, Kraig, but the contraption is not a log hauler! Thanks for the link: most interesting. :D

Looks to me like an old construction Mule powered Dump Cart. Sort of the Original Mack Truck.

Thank you for the regal praise, Dimitri! The cargo could be heavy, but not a coffin ;) The King of Stereos: I could definitely get used to that! Cheers, Buddy!

This is definitely horse drawn, Stoney, so a mule could do the job too. This is no dump cart ... Thank you.:)

I don't know what it was used for but the 3-D effect is awesome.

Another great 3D project Balliolman. Based on the colour and attention to detail, I'm thinking its use is more official and/or ceremonial (as opposed to regular day to day use). So I'll guess it that is a cannon holder/transporter. If correct a good 'shot' for a canon forum!!!
