That was fun Balliolman. What was the time-period when the horse drawn stretcher carrier was used?

I enjoyed the creative thinking and the suggestions of the respondants too, Randy! :) The stretcher carrier was built in the late nineteenth century and was used as recently as WWII. Since then it has been languishing in stable buildings and only brought out at fetes and such as a curiosity.

Good question, thanks for asking!

HI B. I like beesparkle's suggestion a couple of posts back, of "taking a couple of shots." Does he/she realise that this is what 3D photography is all about?

Wow! Thats really interesting! My husbands a fireman and so I will get him to have a look! Its very different from todays equipment. In fact as I speak he is at a bus depot where 10 buses are alight :( Wish I had my camera there to take a shot or two.
Keep posting your 3d photos Ballioman as we all love them!

Sorry for the delay in replying, Beesparkle. Using one camera for a two shot stereo is only suitable for motionless subjects. :) If you did as you describe aligning the shots would be difficult if not impossible. Moreover any 'stereo' you did produce would have lots of differences in detail between chips. This would cause retinal rivalry which can be very painful :( and must be avoided because of this effect apart from its unsightliness!

To freeze action you would need two cameras synchronised to work simultaneously. Such dual rigs are expensive but give superb results. A cheaper option for dslr owners is to buy a Loreo Liac(t) lens which turns your lovely 20D or whatever into a stereo camera producing parallel pairs. :) I have had some good results with mine. However almost all my work is done with a single camera in handheld cha-cha. Ideally I'd like a dual rig!

I must be tired because I thought the title read "3D Contraception". I dreaded to think what you might have taken a photo of!

:o Sorry for sounding misleading in my earlier post.... I didnt actually mean take a shot or two for 3d work ..... I meant I just would love to have been their to take a few general fotos! of the action lol ... so sorry for the confusion on my behalf. Yes I do realise 3d is two fotos and yes I do realise it needs to be motionless!
