@kprince: I choosed the picture for a little Photoshop demo to show a friend what you could get out of an ordinary RAW photo. So what you see here is the result of Histogram work and channel mixing for the B&W. The sky was on a seperate layer to archive a higher contrast and a more dramatic look. As you can see I didn't spend that much time to mask the skyline properly from the sky (it was just a demo). This coould be done a litlle bit better I think.
