You have a small full frame camera with very good ISO.

:lol::lol::lol:

Can just imagine justifying that spend with that line.

It's an amazing camera OP. focus on lines such as 'its going to be all the camera I'll ever need' 'it has GPS and wifi which cost 100's on their own and are essential () now' and best of all 'wait till you see the quality pics ill be able to take of you and the kids'

going to take it off auto soon...;)

Agreed! One of the main reasons I purchased it.

Yeah I know, been tempted to buy it for AGES. Finally pulled the trigger last night, excited to say the least. Yeah that's the plan, although I said that when I bought my last two lenses! (Which she wasn't too happy about). Ah, the kids line..I'll be sure to drop it in!

Hi Brelly

I've come up through the ranks of 20d, 50d, 7d and finally the 6d. You won't regret your purchase and it's worth a couple of nights on the couch!

I still have my 7d and it is a great camera, but boy does it make you work hard sometimes!
The 6d is just beautiful. Forget about high iso noise as there isn't any - what there is are beautifully rendered images without too much effort. Yes, you lose the reach of a crop sensor but the quality of the 6d's images will take a fair bit of "enlarging".

enjoy your new treasure!

Awesome! Glad to hear you're enjoying it as a camera, I've only had a play with it in a local camera store for a few minutes so didn't get a full feel for it. I've still got a 650D/T4i so it was a little different to get used to, I'm keeping hold of that too as a second body for extra reach for when it's needed.

Only problem I have now is which lenses to stick on what!

She'd see straight through that I'm afraid, we're more of the 'tough love' couple than a bit soppy! I'm sure she'll come around soon...ish! :D Haha

Yeah it's pretty good here too, fingers crossed it'll stay like it too for my 6D when it comes out to play!

It's all good :) my wife went out and bought a Nespresso Coffee Machine last weekend, so I bought a 6D with 24-105mm kit lens :D was a good trade off, the wife called it even... After all, you can't make good pictures without great coffee :)

Coming from a 600D, this camera is ballz out just awesome!

Haha, I hope you're not implying that I need to buy her a new coffee machine now!? At least she's understanding that then! I'm still yet to break the news!

We should be in the same boat then! And actually, once my 6D arrives, minus your 50mm, we have EXACTLY the same gear! Spooky!

It's silly when your wife know and administrate ALL your money.
Unless she's in photography, she should not be able to tell the difference between a black 350D and a 6D, if you have your black budget.

She doesn't admin all the money, and doens't need to know the difference between the cameras. What she does know...is that the joint account is now £1,100 lighter! And I think that's probably the turning point!

On a side note, I priced a 6d here about 2 months ago at 2200 euro, thats about 1750 sterling if I am correct. 1100 seems a good price
