Taken in Seahouses Harbour, Northumberland.

Herring Gull taken an Eider duckling. Not sure if it had caught a live chick or whether the chick had already died.

While I wasn't there and you never know, however I would suspect it was already dead, and they scavenged it. Not exactly apex predators, gulls are, but they can be d!ck$ so who knows.
