g12 help with wide angle

Greetings to all.
I have a G12 and would like to go wider than the 28mm .
I use the G12 about 20 ft high on a pole, and fire off 10 shots, using the time delay,,on occasion for real estate 'bird's eye view' images.

I see some mention of adapters, lens///something...'Bu​t I admit I;m confused.
Any info is appreciated.
