One of the great things about the PNW is the trees, the bad thing is they grow constantly and sooner or later can become dangerous. We had a ~150' Douglas Fir next to our house that was just getting too big and we decided to take it down on our terms, not during a wind storm and through our house (and probably a neighbor's too). Incredible watching these guys.

Using the ole 'I'll just squint to protect my eyes' method really is not the most effective way to protect your eyes! LOL

Thanks, It was fun to watch. That tree was only ~ 15' from the neighbors house and not much more from ours, They had a real small drop zone so he had to be real careful. The lower he got the bigger they were so it was a lot of work to keep the rounds under control as he finished the cut and got the blade out.

No hearing protection either. He did have glasses on most of the time.
