I find it hard that this does not exist somewhere here on the forums. I probably didn't search good enough! "OK. I didn't" LOL:rolleyes:!!! What I'm looking for is Camera Slang, Jargon, Abbreviations etc. For example DOF - Depth Of Field ....HDR - High Dynamic Range etc. I found a few websites but it would be nice if there was a post, maybe a "Sticky" on this site. There probably is but it's 4:00 in the morning and I'm tired. so please forgive me and post the link if there is one. Sometimes, as I read the post/replies I see abbreviations and don't know right off hand what they mean. If there isn't one, let's start one. Thanks!

Canon 5D Mark III (Gripped), Canon 7D (Gripped), 70-200mm 1:2.8 L IS II USM, 24-105 L, 28-135mm, 75-300mm, 50mm 1.8, 580 EXII, Canon ST-E3-RT, Canon 600EX-RT X's 3 And not nearly enough time/good weather to enjoy it.

You could try this...https://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=261117
A forum search for the word "abbreviations" found that.
You would have found it quicker than it took you to type the question and much quicker if you had done it yourself rather than waiting for someone to do it for you.

Nah mate, I'm not smart.
I just don't have a sense of entitlement and don't expect everyone to do everything for me or to be spoon fed.
In the (not so) old days it was called using one's initiative.

For a simple question, a simple answer will suffice. THANK YOU, Phil!

Good on you, mate! There too many people too lazy to do a clever search...

Give him a break. I don't think it always comes down to "too lazy" and could just be a matter of not knowing. The OP clearly searched on the web and merely suggested a sticky. (have we forgotten that we were all noobs at one time and didn't get photography knowledge from our mom's breast milk?) His suggestion for a sticky is simply to help others. He even admitted it was 4am and maybe he didn't search well enough. Calling that a "sense of entitlement" is ignorant, arrogant and childish. Maybe you should go back and learn to read Phil and get that stick out of your ass.

Don't take it personally- sometimes you get a response from the horse's mouth. Sometimes it's the other end.....

Question asked, answer made, but could have been more cordial.
This thread has now outlived it's useful life. Say good night.
