Friends of the G1 !
Got a donation of a dead G1. After a success repairing the "G1 died with extended lens" by fitting a new fuse my triumph was dampened right there. The cam takes pictures again but has a few quirks. The navigator button only works up and left, right and down show no reaction. The "Set", "WB", "*" and "Display" buttons seem to show no reaction. I have taken it apart again and reassembled with care, same result. Can anyone help with this strange problem ? I should add that after first assembly I forgot to connect the camera top multi-connector to the large circuit board at the back, so it did not react to any button, but could this have blown anything .... ?

Grateful for any hints
Winfried
