I am really torn between vegabond Mini Lithium or Tronix Explorer Mini. Price difference is $110.00 between the two with the Tronix coming in at a higher price. Which one would you suggest for Elinchrom 600RX and Why? I do have 2 strobes but will mainly be using one light only, however at times, I may indulge myself into trying out two light setup outdoor with one battery pack?

Thank you and really appreciate your suggestions and advise...

Karim.

I have the Tronix Explorer Mini and 2 600RX's and I've got no complaints so far. I havent used the setup enough to really know it's limits but I can say that it's yet to run out of juice in any of the shoots Ive done with the 2 600RX's. Havent used a VML but I can't say enough about how nice the Mini is in terms of portability and power.

If you just need over a hundred shots, I think Tronix Mini can do the job. But for longer shoots, I think the larger Tronix XT can serve you better.

Rob, (TMR Design) did a comparison a couple of years ago. I loaned him a VML for the test. I don't remember the details but you should be able to find it using the search feature.

Biggest difference is the VML uses a Lithium Ion battery which has real advantages over the Gell Cell that I think is in the Mini. If its been updated to a Lithium Ion then its a completely different comparison.
