Why is it called the stink bug on the first couple of shots? good shots btw!!

A friend of mine ID'ed it as a southern green stink bug, i had originally thought it was a shield bug of sorts. Thanks for the comment :)

These are great. I don't generally check out the macro section, but have looked enough to appreciate the lighting in these and how, especially in the images of the first subject, you've capture nice texture.

I thank you very much :) Countless hours of patience, shooting, research and very helpful insight and constructive criticism from very knowledgeable members on this board bring you what you see today. I'm now going into my second month of insect macro and loving every second of it :D

The name stink bug and shield bug are interchangeable I believe.

My research suggested these to be Southern Shield bugs
