This wave was deceptive

After taking the shot, the wave swept in...

... and swamped me to almost waist height!

This beach is in the top north-west of Australia, a place called Cape Leveque.

That is deceptive! It looks small.

Thanks, Wazza. Um - my shorts were soaked - the tour guide didn't want me sitting in the 4WD until I was dry :)

Those colours are pretty accurate - of course, it takes a circular polarising filter to see them. That area of the country is known for the water colour and, hell, this is Australia - the red dirt is everywhere. :)
