Thought I might try making a new fun thread on here. I always get a kick out of watching birds enjoy a nice bath, and I'm sure you do too! Let's put some fun ones on here :D

Thanks John :)

I figure a lot of users are holding on to some real winners for this category. Could make this interesting! I'm sure this could get really creative too

I agree, I have a couple of Cliff Swallows doing it their way but they are not real sharp since they dive bomb into water while flying. And it is difficult enough keeping track of them flying.

Nice shots. This is my first post so I'll see if it works. I started in photography just over two years ago. I was working at my computer and saw this guy land in the bird bath. He looked around as if he wanted to see if anyone was watching then went at it. Thanks for looking. Dirk

I prefer to be in the bush with the animals than a crowded city.

Wonderful shots on here so far!

John: Those swallow shots are really cool! I've tried and tried to get them doing the same thing with no avail, great job!

Djsander: What a catch! amazing timing on this photograph, congrats! I'm sure there weren't any songbirds in your yard at this point

SunnyJ & Rawshorty: Those are some really colorful and pretty birds! Looking a bit crowded in that bird bath :)

Steve: you "froze" these shots very nicely! Love the details that you captured in these photos of this Robin, fantastic :D

This was a wood stork at the Jacksonville, Florida Zoo. Visited there at the end of April. They have a wood stork rookery. It also appeared that some the other trees are starting to get wading birds to nest in them.
