Hoverflies, also known as flower flies or syrphid flies are often seen hovering or nectaring at flowers. Adults of many species feed mainly on nectar and pollen, while the larvae (maggots) eat a wide range of foods. Hoverflies are common throughout the world and can be found on all continents except Antarctica.

Thank you, Bas & Deni. I realize my shots have lots of artifacts & that's because I am playing around way too much in PS so I will become vigilant & try not to be too overzealous in my processing... Thanks Deni, for pointing out what should have been obvious to me.
