Aligning Partition?

Anyone know how to align the partition of a CF card in OSX?
I hear that you get faster speeds for your card by aligning the partition.
any ideas on how to do so?

Any modern OS should do it automatically.
Vista and newer on the Windows will align a partition with 4K sectors correctly on the windows side. (old system used 512Byte)

I have no idea about Unix based OSes.

Having said that: You would be noticing significantly slowdowns if the partition is NOT aligned. So if you are around what you expect in terms of performance, it is possibly aligned correctly.
I would also be surprised if the camera uses 4K sectors - 512Byte would seem like a more logical choice.
