This place was top on my list for sunrise during the few days I just spent there. Unfortunately, the road is closed due to federal budget cuts. It was only a mile walk down to this viewpoint though, and we had the place to ourselves for most of it. One photographer joined later (you can catch him in one of the photos).

Comments/criticisms appreciated. Specifically, which photo you like the best.

(I think I missed a few dust spots to clone out  )

Thanks for looking!

#2 for me, great sense of perspective and great dynamic range :)

Beautiful location and the framing/colors are fantastic. Of the 3, numbers 1 and 2 are pretty much tied for which one I'd prefer.

All of them look either out of focus, though; the crisp detail I'd expect is missing in the grass/trees/mountains. I don't know if this is actually the case in the files themselves or if this is just a result of the compression used to post the images.

All are nicely done. My top pick would be #2, only because the peaks are prominent enough, and when you think of the Tetons you think of rocks jutting out of the valley. The last shot is definitely a winner though, as it's not a shot you often see and gives a great feeling of the expanse of the valley. In my opinion, the lower portion could be reduced which would turn it into a pano.

I felt that #1 was a bit too linear, and the line of reeds cut the shot in half. In #3 I didn't think the underwater stones added a lot to the shot, even though technically it is well done. But,... I'm just being picky since you asked for critique. All are definitely keepers.

#1-2 for my picks. And it's such a shame that road closed down! I plan on heading back there this fall and it's good to know that it'll be a hike down for the sunrise. Great shots!

Number 1 for me. The light is great, and the clarity of the reflection is amazing. But more than anything, this image gives more majesty to the mountains than the others.

The Tetons are so beautiful. I'm heading up there for the 4th of July weekend, hopefully I'll get some good light.

Nice shots. I like 1 and 2 the best.

Beautiful. They all look like they could use some sharpening...but it's hard to tell at web resolution.

Re-edited one of the shots above, thought it was too bright and vivid. How does this look?
