Brightness really shouldn't change much (I typically see zero change in brightness). If anything, you should see a drop in contrast. On the other hand if your contrast ratio and brightness is set properly for your monitor you may see almost no change. Whatever you do, don't get fooled by the pasteboard changing to white Bob
