That sure was a fabulous weevil you spotted. Love that meadow plant bug nymph, and the clay beetle & drunk doli are gorgeous, but I must not forget the fabulous detail on the Alder fly either. (I think I covered it all! Lol)

Great color with nice lighting. What did you use?
I really love the color of the alder fly's wings.

Heavily diffused....I think that's the key. I saw someone's design that used the mt diffusers with some Fong puffers over them.
Anything like that?

yes billy.there,s a fine line between diffusion,and blocking too much light.takes a lot of experimenting to get it right,or at least to a level that you find pleasing.used the stofens,+ puffers last year,then added a cup diffuser,and now I,m using prefab diffusers from a guy in the U.K.so far so good,but they still needed extra diffusion.just added a link,and some pics of my new set-up on my Flikr,in macro gear set.
