Not the best of weekends weatherwise but you did a great job capturing these fine specimens, Bas.

Thank you Denis.

Thank you. There may be a few around, but getting them when they are not flying is difficult.

They are small, the drain thing tends to put them in the not cute section ;)

Cheers Ian. The fist one was a 1:1 cropped, so I got the MP-E out for a little more zoom.

It was ten minutes per session, then more rain. But on the bright side there were a good few ten minute slots in which I could snap a few.

Thank you Russ. It is good when they allow a set of shots.

Thank you all, much appreciated.

Frank, the moth fly is a type of fly, that just looks a little like a moth.

A good set Bas, especially the moth fly shots.

I dont have that many hovers either. Im only seeing a couple of spiders too - except for the wolf spiders as I have tons of those around the garden. I have a huge number of really small flies though of various types.

Thanks Linda. We seem to be in the same boat. Small spiders, (apart from loads of wolfies) small hovers and small flies. As I have just had a the whole garden done up I had been worried that some of the work had been detrimental to the fauna.

Still when summer kicks in it will all go back to normal. ;)
