Shooting through fencing just sucks! I had to play quite a bit in lightroom to either get rid of the fencing or hide it. CC is welcome and is appreciated. Your comments make me a better photographer.

#2 is terrific. i wish both eyes were open, but still very well done.

#3 & 4 are excellent also.

#5 precious moment! focus should have focused on the kid but still a keeper if this is your own kid. maybe crop some off the left side.

and try to recover some detail in the black areas of 4 & 5.

#1 doesnt seem to fit in the lion set, it doesn't add anything for me to the story of the other two.

You're in a zoo...there's no hurry right...why rush the shoot? Wait for the better expression from the animals and compose better...you cropped out part of the bird. ;)

Thanks Sally!

Agree, #1 is a bit boring! I liked it more before I was getting awesome compliments elsewhere on 2 and 3. I too wish his eyes were open, right after this shot #1 happened and he didnt wake up! lol.

Not my kid but I got the fathers email and sent him copies. He loved it.

Chauncey - sometimes you are hurried. People crowd the animals move away from where youved perched and I was at the best vantage to get through the fencing.

The bird is cropped becasue the butt of another bird is right in the way :p

Thanks for commenting appreciate it.

Here are more of the lions.

How often does a Lion wink at you? Very cool capture.
I think you could brighten his eyes in #3 and #2 of the second set.
