Anything to be done?

i agree the mirror needs something to make it magical, how about some sort of lighting effect?

The perspective needs to be altered...it has great potential as a concept, if...you reshoot the image to get the girl in the mirror as well as showing her looking into the mirror.
Then take an image of an older lady/witch/whatever to insert into the mirror using a water reflection such as in this technique... http://10steps.sg …tions-photoshop-tutorial/
Remember to make the perspective in the new mirror image match with the original mirror image. I'm hoping that you can do minor PS work.

I think it looks "off" because perspective wise one can see the mirror in different ways. When I first looked at the image, I got the impression that I was looking through a frame from behind it...through it.. I wasn't aware it was a mirror until I read it.
I can see the mirror now...with the reflection. but it still looks "off".

I gave a very quick edit for an idea of what you were talking about with the reflection. A "witch" in the reflection would be a good take on it too.

This is not a bad idea. I downloaded some sparkle brushes in photoshop, maybe something like that in addition to the other suggestions?

Thank you for the suggestions. I dont think a reshoot is possible with this child but perhaps in the future. I agree about the perspective. I think a smaller mirror might have been easier. The mirror was huge which limited my options where to face it without getting any grass, trees, ugly fence, etc. This child cried the entire time and probably doesnt want her picture taken again. LOL. her sisters were absolutely great and knew how to be princesses without help.

wow this is great and so easy thank you for doing that.
Maybe I should try a reflection but make the background of the mirror some bricks or something, to make it look like someone in a castle or something, not sure....

I think I just understood what you were saying. It kinda confused me earlier. This is a great idea. When I get the queen to pose for me ill try it

This is a good idea too. Now I guess I can't use someone else's pic but I was thinking what if I used the girls mom. She could dress as the real Snow White. The image would make them sort of look alike and maybe complete the concept of "aging", but in a nice way

That would be awesome! What do you need? email?

If you show her the pics and how "magical" she looks in them...she may be more willing to smile for another.

Edit: I should add that this is such a cute setting..and some really neat ideas popping up. I like her other pose as well.

Thats a good idea. I think I have found someone to be my queen. I will hope to get it soon and post back with the results. I am also going to try a few suggestions here.

quick ?: does the new image look to yellow? On my husbands computer all the yellows and oranges in my images look super bright in comparison to other colors. I think its his computer tho.
