Is this a much needed "critique" as this person said to me in a message or is this person trying to tell me what I should post up on facebook?

I can think for myself, but I had a right laugh at his attitude saying that I've got to apologise to him

Do you remember in the days of film when we'd take our cameras to a restaurant or to the dinner table at home.
We would take photos of our meals and then, three days later, after we've had our films developed and prints made, we would go over to all our friend's houses and show them what we had for dinner a few days before?
Nup...neither do I.

I think this is what your friend is trying to say and you know what...
I agree with him.

Friend? He is no longer a friend

Plus other people do it all over the world, so if he didn't like it, there were options available to him to avoid people posting food of what they eat.

Plus I said, "Is this critiquing?" which you seemed to have misread

A critique of what?
If critique is giving an opinion, that's what you got - his opinion.
If he's no longer a friend because you didn't like his opinion, well that says more about...(complete as you feel appropriate)

If your proud, show it, don't let someone else stop you.
You might be proud of the subject, or your creative skills in how you captured it, it really doesn't matter.

How much of what your friends posts are you excited to see?, some times people act a little self centred. Of cause if you are flooding their news feed, I can see they would be annoyed, from this respective I would consider how my actions may be interpreted if I was the received.

You could also separate your personal activity from your photo activity by creating a page for your photos, then only people who like the page will get them show in the news feed.

Its not that, its because he started belittling me in another post, not because of his "opinion", really wish you would get all the facts before you start typing

He could of easily of deleted me, or untick the "Show in news feed" like I do with a couple of my friends

You could ask your friends, post a general question, state you would like their feedback as you prefer to not annoy. See what the majority say

Yes, he controls his new feed content, a lot of people don't realise how to change newsfeed settings

Maybe you could provide all the facts to begin with.

Where in your original post, quoted in full below, do you say that he belittled you in another post, because I cant seem to see it.
Did you write it in invisible text.

Just what is the point of this thread anyway?

If you don't know the point of the thread, why the heck are you here posting?

Well, your thread is titled "Your professional opinion needed"
You got that - my opinion, as that is what I understood the question to be.
If you didn't really want opinions, you should have added "but only tell me what I want to hear and tell me how hard done by I have been."

Then again, maybe you were just trolling and I didn't realise.
hmmm....so many possibilities

Your turn.

...you asked for opinions and you got it. Someone posted something rude to you on Facebook. You took offence and ran here to tell us all about it. There isn't much more to say except the person who wrote the message on your facebook needs to grow up: and so does the person who posted on the messageboard. Life is to short to worry about things that you can easily ignore.

I took no offence to it, the post is still there, I took offence at his belittling in another post, then he was belittling me accusing me of "slagging him off" I only told him my opinion about him, which is true about since he belittled me
