Whoa! I thought the gyms in my area were dark. ISO 16000, AND a shutter speed of 1/640 @ f/4. I thought my having to use ISO 12800, and 1/800 at f/4 was dark. Wild! Great shot, BTW. Thanks for sharing.

Welcome to my nightmare! I took the shot with a 6 year old sigma 70-200 2.8 that I borrowed from my brother. I bought a like new Canon 70-200 2.8L IS this weekend. I'll shoot the girls game tomorrow and see what happens. I set the camera on auto iso after picking my SS & Aperture. Looks like I might need to dial in a little EC.

I love the camera, and I'm enjoying figuring it out.

Dude, Really?

5D3 50mm @f5 1/8000 ISO is 102400

NR was: L15 D70 C0 C25 D50 S50 so standardise there. A little pushing about of the light though to get the colour back.

Right out of the camera via JPG (but have the raw). I am going to use this as my basis for "How To Get the Most From the 5D3" thread in the future. In camera NR set to Low.

Did some more testing with my a7R and high ISO... I'm not super impressed by it, but it's not as bad as I feared, definitely better than my X-E1, it's just too bad the colors get so wonky past ISO3200 -?

a7R + Mitakon 135mm f2.5 macro
1/160s, f2.5
ISO12800 + pushed about a half a stop or more in LR5 (had auto-ISO limited at 12800), no NR
