We just went to my mates place for a party and he has built a 'man cave' where his band plays music.

I'm finding more and more that the a7R really just can't hold a candle to Canon in the high ISO department -?

It looks to me that the a7S is 100% for sure in my future.

a7R + Yashica ML 50/1.7
f1.7, 1/100s
ISO12800 with color NR at around 35 in LR5 and resized to 16mp, note that there are still some strange color spots in various spots of the frame. Not sure why this camera's color goes totally wonky past ISO3200, but it's definitely going to be a deal breaker for me.

Nice. I always struggled with high iso (iso 3200 and above) pictures with t3i. Mostly due to my poor technique. But 70D is more forgiving.

70D 1/100, F1.6 and ISO 12800
