Thanks very much for all the positive comments. Maybe I'll see what I can do with one of the dental operatories next.

I think I would clone that out. It catches the eye and looks almost like a processing halo. People that know me call me Dan

Thanks for commenting. What you're seeing is a portion of the top of a blue stool. You're right, it doesn't add anything to the image as it is and I'll remove it. If it were easily recognizable as a stool top, I'd probably keep it in the shot. Gene - My Photo Gallery ||

(Image size also fixed on the original post) Much better with it gone. I agree, if you could easily have identified it as a stool, it would have been fine to leave it. People that know me call me Dan

Thanks for the comments and request for tips. It's difficult for me to explain how I did the edit as each image is different and different methods are used. Mostly, it's trial and error. I do use the Nik Collection of filters and Topaz Simplify to grunge up the image, add detail as well as give the look of an illustration. I've found through experience that not only is the amount of filtering important, but the sequence that they are applied to the image. After each pass using a filter effect, I usually tweak in CS6 using adjustment layers to taste.
