There was a post a few days back with a couple of shots of the Space Needle in Seattle, Washington. I observed that it is hard to find a view that hasn't been seen a thousand times before. So this is an effort to shoot an iconic, often photograped structure and still bring something of me to it - to set it apart - both in terms of composition and processing.

Critique and Comments very welcome.

Rad

Red channel? Certainly a unique point of view!

I think that's a great angle. It might be a little better without the clouds and with a slight rotation.
Since you have image editing on, what do you think?

I very much like the edit. I had thought that the clouds added a texture to an othewise harshly angular image, but looking at their removal shows that it is even better with the completely black sky. Thanks for your time and effort.

Great way to change the perspective and create a unique image. I also go along with the no clouds.

I'll put in my votes for "with clouds" for the reasons you mentioned....the contrast from the angular to the fluffy textures.

Image editing OK, encouraged, and expected. Thank you for helping me learn!

Very unique perspective for sure, and well done.

I had to go back and look for the clouds in the first image. The subject was compelling enough to me that the clouds didn't register. I think I like the image with the clouds.

I think I like it with out the clouds, mostly because of the direction of the clouds, to bad there wasn't just one small cloud coming in from the right, horizontally ending just before the needle.
It's still a cool shot!!

I prefer it with the cloud but for the sake of balance I 'moved' the clouds a bit

Very cool perspective! THe only thing bothering me is the tree in the bottom of the frame. I like the clouds, they break up the empty space of the sky. Looks like this may have been shot in the middle of the day some time...I bet it would look killer around sunset and in color!

Nice shot but I don't remember a ferris wheel next to the space needle but then again the last time I was in Seattle, the King dome was still up.
