Hello Dolly... and the regulars plus a disappointing missed shot.

Well, maybe not Dolly... but a Doli Fly :)

SO GUTTED I missed this. I tracked this beautiful vibrant male Ichneumon wasp around the garden for about 5 or 6 minutes watching it flit from bush to bush, plant to plant. After the 5 or 6 minutes, it finally settled. I crept up and went for the shot. JUST tooo late :(. It flew over the fence and didn't venture back.

Awesome shots Ian, fear not about the missed shot, i too have been there, almost to the point of throwing my camera, then i remember how much i spent and quickly change my mind on the toss, :)

Lovely shots - That particular species of Ichneumon is specifically designed to test the patience of macrophotographers.

haha, Yeah I hear you both on the Ichneumon. You see it and you desperately want to photography it because it's different... and it just doesn't stay still! :)

Lovely shots, Ian. Yes, those ichneu.... can be quite troublesome to shoot; we found one last week but only managed to capture the face. The third shot is beautiful.
