Love the weevil (though probably not in the garden). The caterpillar is a mullein moth and yes, that is an empid dance fly.

Thank you all. It is hard work, I filled up the memory card in two days, over 300 pictures. Not one 'keeper' but about 70 worth showing.

As always it is great to get new subjects, and I always appreciate the kind words, so thanks you again.
