Hello people if the interweb,
Alright here is the situation.
3 days ago I received my new 70-300L. And just has I walk into the mall to go to my complex I spot a KPop dance competition organized by the mall itself.
Great, first real world shoot with the 7d and gives me a chance to test drive the 70-300L.
I was lucky, been a non Asian in an Asian country instantly makes me stand out, and been taller was useful. And the white lens at tracks attention and people would quickly move out of the way giving me the best place dead center.
Now, I will post some pictures in the afternoon when I am done with work.
Overall I am happy with the results, took about 400 pictures in 1 hour or less.
But I find it hard to get the dancers fully in focus, since they move fast there would usually have an arm or hand blurry.
I was more interested in head shots but tomorrow I will be back home in time for the finals.
I was using auto ISO, but limiting it to 3200. Av f5.6 beyond 200mn.
And white balance at 6000k. And AI servo for tracking.
I was also mixing with the P mode since I am new to the camera.
There was a huge LED screen behind them, which was a pain.
Pictures will be up in a couple of hours.
But awaiting that, is there any thing you guys could share about mode setting for that situation.
The lighting was decent.
Thanks
