Here are some images I captured while kayaking this past week. I also posted some different shots in the Wildlife forum from the same kayaking trips.

Thanks for looking!

Nice effort! When I was traveling I wasn't keen on the idea of taking my stuff on a Kayak, regret that decision now though!

You have an amazing set of photos right there. I just love the one of the youngsters taking a break.

Vey nice. I think I saw a heron like the one at the top, one of these days I will float by it without it taking off before I get there like it does.

Thanks! There are some unnerving moments with gear in a kayak, but overall, I feel pretty comfortable with it.

Thanks so much! The youngsters were a joy to watch swimming around feeding and eventually resting.

They sure can be skittish, but I have much better luck on the water than I do on shore.

Awesome captures, Brad. I’ve hesitated to take my camera out on the water. No more, after seeing this gorgeous series. Outstanding work.

Thank you! The reward has been worth the risk thus far. I've logged about 20 hours on the water now without any issues! *quickly knocks on wood* ;)

Nice shots! I have been looking into this as well, but there is the problem of getting the kayak to the lake in my case and I don't trust my kayaking skills enough (yet) to take my expensive gear on the water :p

About the images: with the 2nd image, try to leave room for the legs, even if you can't see them, it looks a bit weird like this :) My favourites are the GBH in flight and the last GBH, but all shots are very well done.

As for the critique, you mean the great blue heron image, right? Its legs disappear into the water in that second image, which I left visible. Or did you mean the first image, of the night heron, where the legs were indeed cut off by the camera?
