He-he. Good point. However : Nice photos. I like the tight framed shots with shallow DOF so a wider aperture would make these even better. Good job

The first 3 are Kayaks, then a Canadian double and a Canadian single.

Slalmon was first in the Olympics way back in 1972

1972: Augsburg, W. Germany
1992: La Seu d'Urgell, Spain
1996: Ocoee River, U.S.A.
2000: Penrith, Australia
2004: Athens, Greece
2008: Shunyi, China
2012: Lee Valley, England

Id have like to have seen more of the gates in the first few shots, just to show more of the event.

I actually wonder about the last one. You cannot see the craft. He is using a single blade paddle and he may just be in a kneeling position which would make this a true C1 rig. So it may in fact be a canoe.

Yes your correct.

There 3 classes in slalom,
Kayak , a sitting postion using a double bladed paddle.
C1, a single person in a kneeling postion using a single bladed paddle
C2, two people both in a kneeling postion using a single bladed paddle each.

The offical name is Canadian Single or Canadian Double, most would say they are canoes, but should not be confused with an open canoe which has no deck at all.
