For sometime I've been thinking about getting my first full frame with a 6D. I found a site on ebay (getitdigital) that has a 99.5% favorable rating, and is selling the body only for $1599.00. It is listed as new, USA, and was part of a combo pack with the lens removed.

As much as I'd like to get the camera at this price I'm hesitate even with the high rating of the seller. Has anyone had experience with them? Is there more to it that I should be aware of?

It's almost like the saying "if it sounds too good to be true......"

Canon 6D & 7D. Panasonic GX85 and a number of ever changing lenses.

They're legit, I've bought from them before. Warranty may NOT be (never had an issue), but that price is lower than used... I dont see how you can go wrong.

I've found that the really high rated sellers are good. The ones with the top rated seller ebay logo. I think you have to weigh how many sales they've done vs. there most recent feedback. But having said all that I'd be more inclined to buy from someone of these forums. Not that its a foolproof method but I think its a bit more safer than the ebay crowd. The fredmiranda forums is another source. Most of the people are themselves photographers looking to make an honest transaction. I've been burned many times off ebay and you really have to learn how to read between the lines/evaluate the listings. But a good solid rating is a great sign. GL with your choice.

You are far more protected buying from ebay than you are on this or any other forum. Paypal 9 times out of 10 will always side with buyer in a dispute. And they have procedures to follow. Anyone can become a forum member, rack up a few thread comments to make it look like they've been around a while then sell something and vanish. A forum does not offer anyone any protection.

One of my buddy brought a camera and lens there. No issues except his package deal included a free aftermarket battery and they shipped the wrong one. However, after he called they mailed out the correct one and never asked for the other one back. Don't think you can go wrong with them and as others have said, you'll be protected by paypal.

They're around $1586 today.

I believe, you'll be able to redeem a Canon USA warranty at any repair center with your receipt.

Yeah, of course no problem.
It's simply a 24-105 and 6d package that they sell separately.
You get everything in the box minus the lens.
