SVTMANIAC and I went out friday morning to get some Kit Fox video. These are young fox for sure. They just play and play. Unfortunately they only like to play when there is very little light so pics dont work out very well.
Fortunately video does. This is my first attempt at video with the 7d and Im impressed. I think I missed focus slightly as the fox came about 8meters closer than when I prefocused but I didnt want to blur the video while I found the perfect focus.

Video (only about 1min 40 sec)

Probably my favorite- this fox pup was tossing this rat into the air and playing with it.

I kinda liked this one because of the 3 pups in it. I know the light was bad and the shot wasnt great but...

Neat video, Jeremy, and great shots too. They sure are playful things, aren't they, plus they too, like the ones I have been shooting, are very comfortable with you being there. And no matter how many times I look at your pics, I am still Amazed at the size of their ears! :)

Very nice! We need to go set the blind up out there next time. I want to shoot without an extender on the 500.

Ian, Thanks for the kind words. These guys were pretty comfortable with us as long as we didnt move toward them.
As for their ears, YUP. they're huge. This species (KIT) has massive ears.
