TOR is quite easy to block (and e.g. Wikipedia does it), exit node lists are available and updated every 30 mins. I'll probably block using post editor via TOR in the future (TOR is sadly mostly used for spamming).

Hmm....

Pekka,

Any chance of getting new smilies similar to these in Amass?

Not that I'm a spammer, but I've accessed Wiki via the Tor system

I know in your infinite wisdom that you could check if someone is using a proxy

Wikipedia allows browsing via Tor, entering content is not possible via Tor. I think that is a good approach. Also, I will most likely make it so that those checks are preventive only for new members. We do know if posts come via anon proxies, but that is not a problem with established members.

All those measures are there to prevent spam (a big daily issue), malware and spam free site means safer and more enjoyable browsing.

A site of this size is likely to have a number of members with protected identity. Lots of people have suffered abusive husbands etc. An interesting quetstion then: would it only be allowed for existing members to continue but not for a new member to register?

And a member isn't allowed to have multiple accounts, but I have to assume that someone who do get a protected identity and contacts the moderators about it will be allowed to create a new account (and hopefully be smart enough about what they post).

Don't you play Bridge????

establish
"Ensure that one’s remaining cards in (a suit) will be winners (if not trumped) by playing off the high cards in that suit"

http://www.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/english/establish (external link)

So, what I understant of it: you'll need a trumpet, suit and deck of cards. And a spell checker.

So if I'm understanding correctly, I don't need to be wearing pants for any of this?

An established card is also useful for drawing the bidder's use of a last trump - provided you have a remaining winner in other suits.

Yes, Chet, you need to wear pants. Always. We have talked about this before.
