After reading post 1-15, I think that you are overlooking the power of LR. All you have to do is process one photo in each folder that way you like it using Lightroom develop modules controls. Then save those adjustments as a preset (for future use).

Next, select all images in the library folder of which you are working, select sync, deselect all, then manually select only the processes that you made changes to, then sync across all images in the folder.

Repeat this for each subsequent folder.

To output jpeg files you will need to set up an export command for each folder once the processing is done. (File>Export, or CTRL+SHift+E) That's very simple to do.

If I've left any part of this unclear to you, ask and I'll add more info.

Now what I would like to do is what I used to do with the "Image Processor" from ACR,

From Bridge that is ;)

The operative phrase in your comment is "predetermined qualities in predetermined folders"...if you want flexibility in your actions (or are simply a basic user) you will at some stage have to deal with modal dialogs.

In other words, you either automate or you don't. If you want the ultimate in speed and automation you have to give up flexibility. If you still want to fiddle with images, you have to give up on batching as quickly as possible and make do with playing around with a file then running your action once you're done. You simply cannot give individual attention to files in a batch operation without stopping.

Allow me to chime in.... my intentions in this particular scenario are to run a completely hands-off process (true automation). What exactly these actions are doing and how they will affect my images are my decision, but I am aware what can't be "pasted" across every image and what can. I will be reviewing them after the automation and then making any adjustments to individuals that need it.

As far as batch processing with actions that require user input? Heck yes. I have to run to a meeting right now but I will elaborate later.

I'm curious to know how you invoke the Image Processor from within ACR.

Bridge. I meant Bridge (I have an extremely strong association between Bridge and Camera RAW).
