I decided to start a blog type site to do reviews, lessons, and general stories. I'm hoping to stick with a free wordpress theme because I'm planning on setting up a business oriented website later, I'd rather only pay for one.

I'm looking for any suggestions or tips for wordpress, any suggestions for the blog. Only one post so far but I will add more in the future.

Thanks!

First thing I always do is to look at the "About" page. If it includes a sentence with the words "photography" and "passion", I move along... Now yours, OTOH, needs a bit of work, as you know. Just be sure that it doesn't feature something like "Photography has always been a passion for me".

Your paper blog post is fascinating for someone who's really into paper. I'd use bigger headings between the categories.

Not sure I agree on your theme colours, especially the orange-yellow thing at the top. The masthead looks really weird on my Chromebook. I like the idea of sample pics from your Flickr, though.

Obviously, when there's more than one post, they should be clipped with a link after the jump. Which means the lede (i.e. the first 'graph) needs to stop the reader in his toast-buttering moment. (I'm a former newspaper reporter, and I've kept some of the sayings...)

Thanks!

I think I will be buying the customization upgrade soon so I can modify the fonts. I was disappointed in how un-noticeable my headings were in my paper post, and I want the little bar on top to be more consistent with the rest of the text.

Hopefully a more updated version to come soon.

Thanks again!
