So let me start by saying that I have had 4 or so bags and so far I am just baffled at how to carry all of the things you might need and making sure you have the things you do need.
I will start off by saying I shoot randomly so I cant say I will do landscape or sports or wildlife only shots I shoot what chance lays in front of me.

Ok saying all of that I am curious as to what the guys and gals are carrying to get the job done. I now have a Canon bag but previous had a large Ape case which just made things heavy even without the laptop in it. I also have a small shoulder sling cheapie but with the grip on the cam its not as suitable any longer to go compact. I have to carry the sigma 150-500 because I am always on the hunt for a good wild life shot and I have learned there is really more to this lens than that.

I am looking for suggestions and also looking to find out what YOU carry in your bags on a daily basis looking for multi-type shots???

After reading repeated posting by Jon the moderator here, I finally switched to Domke bags. I have an F-2 for short trips where I know what I'll need and the F-1X for when I want to take everything with me. I also added a 720-230 insert (again, Jon's suggestion) to make the gear in the bag more accessible. One last thing..... I purchased Domke's US Post Office shoulder pad and it makes a huge difference. The wedge design keeps the strap on your shoulder without slipping and the pad makes the weight bearable.

Here's a quick photo I took yesterday to demonstrate how I use it. Bear in mind, my flash and Newton FR3 rotating flash bracket are usually in the bag but were used to take the photograph.

PS: as noted on the photo, this is the larger F-1X bag. You can see my F-2 on my flickr page.

The amount of stuff I can fit in my Thinktank Streetwalker HD bag is pretty amazing. I have smaller Lowepro bags that I use for special purposes, but when I need the kitchen sink, it's the Thinktank bag. I'm sure I have more than 50 pounds of gear in the thing right now for a shoot I'm doing tomorrow.

I'm sure most would agree, one specific bag for everyone just doesn't exist. Camera bags tend to be very personal. I only switched to Domke because I didn't like working out of the backpack I purchased. It is fine for storage but a pain when working out of it when shooting.

Others love their backpacks, message bags, other shoulder bags, etc. I took the advice of a more experienced photographer than myself (Jon the moderator) and made the switch to Domke. I have to say, I'm very pleased with both of the bags I purchased. I don't do long hikes so I'm sure that was a factor in my choice as well. As I said earlier, bags are personal. What works for one person may not work well for another for a variety of reasons.

I also like to shoot anything and everything. Wildlife, macros, my kids, landscapes, abstracts, architecture... anything I find interesting. I currently use a 100-400L, 24-70L, and 100mm macro. I don't like shoulder bags; I have a bad back. Belt bags won't carry enough if you need everything with you. Slings are OK, but for comfort I prefer backpacks. I recently bought the F-stop Loka and it is the first technical bag I've owned. It is extremely well made. The internal frame and straps put the weight on my hips. The inserts divide camera gear from non-camera gear. I just spent a long day with it fully loaded, with lots of extra water bottles and other things. It was heavy enough that everyone in my family complained about it. But it was comfortable walking around with it on my back all day, and I kept everyone hydrated.

The only downside you might find is that it doesn't have a laptop sleeve (I don't carry one so that's perfect for me).

I mean right now I have the canon bag that I picked p on amazon and it is holding almost all of my gear aside from the ring flash a few macro tubes and some misc, but I will have another body in the bag soon and I just dont see it being possible to squeeze it in

Since this pick I have added canon 50 and the tamron 18-270 and the 60D will soon be the neighboring body, I just want to have what I need when I need it and it really seems like the bigger bag you go it just has weight even without much gear. I was also thinking of trying to mod a hiking back pack to suit my needs as well but it has to be well thought out before I do it. I just have to make sure it is water tight no matter what else as well as padded decently. I am going to look at all of the bags that you all have mentioned and see where that leads.

Another vote for the ThinkTank StreetWalker Hard Drive here. The amount of gear that bag can hold is amazing. When I only want to carry a smaller amount of gear I use the Sling-o-matic 20 from ThinkTank which I recently received as a gift. Another great bag.

now I found this and it claims to host 2 dslr and a slew of lenses. I know it is going to weigh a ton with full gear but unless need all of my gear in which case I would have it all kindly packed in the back of the suburban LOL anyway.... But I do plan to hike and trail it across country as well as Europe so I am planning ahead.

On a daily basis when I'm just out and about, a Billingham Hadley Pro or a Crumpler 6MDH with my 5DIII and a single lens (usually 24-105 or 35/1.4).
When I want other stuff as well as my camera, a Lowepro photo hatchback 22L.

When I'm on travels, then depending on the length of the trip and the type of photography, either my F Stop Guru (general travel around cities etc...) or my F Stop Tilopa BC (proper photo trips, hiking, camping etc...)

I can get everything in my "gear sig" in my Kata Bumblubee PL-220, with one exception... only one tripod at a time... it all fits easily...
