PixelMagic Cream of the Crop 5,546 posts Likes: 6 Joined Nov 2007 Location: Racine, WI More info | Jun 28, 2013 16:55 | #10 As already pointed out the effect is obtained by split toning and can be achieved through the Split Toning panel in Adobe Camera Raw or Lightroom or Curves adjustment. Based on the sampler points you can see that all three RGB channels were lowered at the white point and raised at the black point. The blue channel was most adjusted at both ends and notice the grey point sampler shows elevated blues in the midtones. The Reds are also elevated in the shadow areas. This pertains to this image alone and shows the technique used to adjust it but you really can't make generalized conclusions that this specific approach works on all images; it always depends on the content of an image.
