Oyster catcher family

This Oyster catcher just hatched 3 chicks at the Haystack in Cannon Beach Oregon -managed to get out to see them at low tide and get some shots of the parent trying to feed the little one some little bits of food ( small mussel type organism)

Great shots Marcy, the ones here in CPT (South Africa) are pure black with red bill / eye and legs (your ones seem to have a "brown" body)
