I got these at a local pond a few days ago. Something must be hatching in the pond, because there were at least 100 birds feeding, and usually there's just a duck or two cooling off.

Here's a couple of group shots. I only had my 400mm with me... wish I'd brought my 18-55.

Quite a collection you found scuba!
I think the Great Egrets stand out to me, but the variety is tremendous. I like the Greenie too even with the perch in the way :)
Must be inspiring to be near so many waders at once.

Lovely shots, especially of the white birds! I've never seen so many of them all together!

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.

Outstanding series of shots, very well done. Your first and seventh photos are juvenile Little Blue Herons. Your second photo is an adult Little Blue Heron.

Thanx for all the comments. I went back to the pond this morning, but it looks like they've eaten everything there was to eat, cuz it was deserted.

Great set Eric, very good in-flight shots. I seldom see a Reddish Egret around here.
