Last weekend, I shot my first wedding as the solo photographer. I shot one wedding last summer for a friend, who also had two of her OTHER friends as photographers, so there were 3 of us. During the ceremony it was pouring rain, and I was so scared for all of my equipment, but it seems to have all survived!!

I learned a lot about what to do...and what not to do.
I got a lot of good shots...and a lot of not so good shots.
I had a lot of fun...and a lot of anxiety!!

Here are some of my favorites from the day, let me know what you think!

Pretty nice for your first solo. I presume you have a few 2nd shoots under your belt?

One small suggestion. Shoot your First Kiss shot wide. What often makes that shot special are the reactions to it. A kiss is just a kiss, after all.

Thank you. No 2nd shoots, just the one wedding I had shot with the 2 others last summer.

Good point. I did have my girlfriend/assistant there and she has a few wider shots of the kiss, so I got that covered!

Thank you!

I only used off-camera for the reception, with two speedlights in the corners bounced off the ceiling. I was prepared to use it on other photos, but had nice cloudy light during most of the outdoor shots.

The clarity on these photos are well done, except for the third shot, compared to the rest.

Thanks, I definitely lowered the clarity in LR on that one, going for the soft dreamy look, but I may re-look at it.
