I was looking at a Sigma lens and it had all the letter that I'm familiar with but it also had RF what does RF mean on a sigma lens.

I believe it means Rear Focusing.

The above poster is correct - Rear Focus. I searched and went to this site (external link); hover over RF and it gives more information.
