Howdy All,

I borrowed this Macleay's Spectre Stick Insect from a friend for a little photo shoot. Still working on getting the lighting a bit more diffuse. I'm using a 430EX and 580EXII with Rogue and Fotodiox modifiers. 5DIII, 100L, f/14 ISO100 160th.

(He's got great wings but he doesn't show them often :D)

Lovely shot but think I would try shooting it on something a bit plainer ie a twig. The flowers are too eye catching.

Howdy Brian,

Agreed :D. It's kinda: "Why is there a brown stick in the way of those pretty flowers?" ;). That'll be today's photo task before he gets returned to his keeper.

I quite like walking sticks-they can look so unusual. Nice shot.
