BBMF at Scarborough Air Show.

The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight arrival caught me out, thought I had another hour so was busy tucking in to my fish and chips when they turned up. Grabbed the camera but it was still on the Red Arrows settings so no prop blur. Wrong time, wrong place and wrong camera settings.

I like it. might crop in a bit tighter. And generally, you aren't going to get much prop blur in a profile shot, so you're OK there.

It's quite a large crop already Frank, there was much more hill and sky to start with.

Tighter crop, and adjust for shadows and exposure using PhotoShop. There are details hiding in the shadows and sky.

I like the crop as is and I already worked it in Photoshop, any more shadows/exposure work and there's just to much noise added to do anything with.

Another one from the show, OK; not part of the BBMF. I don't usually up my iso no matter how bad the light is but it wasn't that sunny and this thing was moving pretty sharpish. Unfortunately even though it's a D series camera and I only took the iso to 200 I can easily see the noise that has been added by the higher setting, no matter what method I used to reduce the noise it softened the shot a little. That said it was my 100-400 and it's not the sharpest lens in the pack when it's at full stretch.
