I was able to get ahead of him and snapped a few images as he "caught up". Now, these might be a bit soft...I have recently switched from my trusty 100-400mm L to an older model 300mm,2.8 L, as I wanted to try a prime for a while....it's been a bit of a learning curve (no IS!) but when the light is poor the 300 has a real edge.
